The trailor socket tester approved for use in the latest version of the MOT test which comes into force in January 2012 which has been designed specifically for the MOT test function, the case has been designed to be light weight and tough, with rounded edges to prevent damage should it come into accidental contact with either the vehicle's bodywork or interior, the display LED's are bright enough to be seen even in direct sunlight and the lead is a generous 5m long with a rugged, moulded 13pin plug.

Ergonomics and ease of use, the smaller thinner case makes the unit easier to hold, and the recessed self test button helps prevent accidental operation, the intuitive label graphic quickly guides the operator as to which light is being tested as it replicates the rear of a vehicle and the light position.

The is available with is own shadow board to aid quick identification in the MOT bay.

Trailer socket tester

Get ready with our trailer socket tester for the new upcoming VOSA requirement. 5 Year warranty.

The BTT-111 is our new trailer and caravan socket tester designed specifically to meet the VOSA regulations which come into force 1st January 2012.

Able to test both 7 pin and 13-pin electrical towing sockets that are fitted to vehicles with tow-bars. If the sockets are faulty, then secondary lights fitted to the trailer or caravan may not work. BTT-111 checks the output from each pin on the socket and determines its operation.

The BTT-111 has a membrane keypad with integrated LED indicators to signify correct output when the vehicle controls are operated. A TEST button is also included in order to illuminate the LEDs and check the tool is operating correctly prior to testing the vehicle.

BTT-111 also includes an internal battery enabling the TEST feature to operate without the presence of power (not available from 7-pin sockets). When using the TEST feature on a 13-pin socket, the BTT-111 automatically bypasses the battery and takes power directly from the vehicle, thus increasing battery life.

The BTT111 designed and manufactured here in the UK with reliability in mind. Fitted with a protective rubber cover for extra durability and supplied complete with a 5 year warranty, the BTT-111 is sure to become the market leader.
